Purpose
Develop discussion and collaboration between mathematicians and philosophers of mathematics in confronting the problems emerging from practical mathematics at work in contemporary research (eg, algebraic geometry and combinatorics) to those issued of current philosophical field (for example, the philosophy of mathematical practice).
This is both to bring the great classical philosophical questions (objectivity, unity, ...) to the test of contemporary mathematics but also, conversely, to generate new leads in the philosophy of mathematics that can account for a number specificities and issues brought by contemporary mathematics.
